Graduation Requirements
Earning your Doctor of Pharmacy degree requires careful planning and completion of all academic and administrative requirements. Meet with your faculty advisor early in your final year to confirm you are on track to complete all requirements. Students completing requirements in May, August, or December are encouraged to participate; those outside that timeline should notify the Registrar’s Office at least one month prior. Before you can graduate, you must:

Complete All Coursework
Successfully complete all PharmD coursework as prescribed by the curriculum

Fulfill Experiential Requirements
Meet all experiential education obligations, including IPPEs and APPEs

Meet Academic Standards
Satisfy all academic progression standards outlined in the School of Pharmacy Bulletin

Clear Administrative Obligations
Resolve any outstanding financial or administrative requirements with the College

Submit Your Graduation Application
Submit your application during the fall prior to your anticipated graduation term
Required Regalia Ordering
Graduates must wear the following academic regalia:
- Gown
- Doctoral Hood
- Tam
- Tassel
You may also choose optional items like class rings, announcements, and diploma frames.

Licensure & Next Steps Your Path to Practice
Graduation is the final step in your academic journey—and the first step in your professional career. To begin practicing as a pharmacist, you’ll complete licensure requirements and take the next steps toward your chosen path.
State Licensure
Licensure requirements vary by state. Graduates must apply through the Board of Pharmacy in the state where they plan to practice and meet all requirements, including applications, exams, and documentation.
Licensure Exams
To practice as a pharmacist, you must successfully complete:
assesses pharmacy law specific to your state
assesses pharmacy knowledge and clinical competency

Post-Graduate Opportunities
