The Class of 2026 professional degree candidates will formally receive their academic hoods representing the pharmacy profession and their graduate diplomas.  Degree Plus candidates will also receive their Bachelor of Science diplomas.  Tickets are not required for this event.

College of Arts and Sciences Commencement Practice
11:00 a.m. – Vance Plaza (Rain Plan:  Templeton Gym)

Hall of Fame/Wysor Saber Award and ROTC Commissioning Ceremony
2:00 p.m. – Edmunds Hall
The commissioning ceremony is for cadets who have successfully completed all of the requirements to graduate and commission a s a second lieutenant in the United States  Army.  The Highlander Battalion is composed of students from Ïã½¶Ðã,  Lander University, and Newberry College.  The Wysor Saber Award and the Kimberly Hampton Leadership Award will be presented to cadets who have distinguished themselves while participating in the ROTC program

Teacher Induction Ceremony (reception to follow)
4:00 p.m. – Neville Hall Kuhne Auditorium
The induction ceremony is for graduating students who have successfully completed all of the requirements to graduate and are recommended for teacher certification. During this ceremony, graduates affirm their commitment and dedication to the teaching profession by collectively reciting the oath for graduating educators. Graduates are also individually recognized as they publicly begin the transition from pre-service educators to professional educators.

There will be a reception following in the Cornelson Lobby.

Baccalaureate Service
6:00 p.m. – Belk Auditorium

Scotty’s Send Off
7:15 – 8:30 p.m. – Alumni Green
Hosted by the Office of Alumni Relations, Scotty’s Send Off will be held on Alumni Green immediately following the Arts & Sciences Baccalaureate Service. This is a time for the Graduates and their invited guests to mingle, take pictures, and enjoy the accomplishments of the past four years. There will be an array of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments for everyone to enjoy before you head out to dinner or simply gather with friends and family. Graduates will receive a limited number of free drink tickets and a cash bar will be available. Seating will be open on the Vance Plaza for commencement exercises. Accessible parking, for guests with disabilities, will be available in the parking lots behind Jacobs Hall and the Harrington-Peachtree Center; Accessible seating will be marked.

Inclement weather may necessitate that we hold commencement inside.  We will determine the location by 8:30 a.m. and notify students through campus e-mail and the text message alert system.
