Discover Unique Opportunities

Children and youth from Laurens County and beyond arrive on the Ï㽶Ðã campus eager to learn and grow. Young athletes and musicians practice their skills in camps and clinics. Model UN students from high schools across the region compete in a conference at Ï㽶Ðã.

Athletic Camps and Clinics

Do you have a son or daughter who wants to get better at their sport? Blue Hose coaches offer athletic camps and clinics for 14 different sports. Camps and clinics are designed for male or female athletes at different age groups, from elementary age to high school age students. Young athletes practice on Blue Hose facilities and are instructed by Blue Hose coaches.

Music Camps and Clinics

Young musicians learn from Ï㽶Ðã music professors and other professional musicians in the Laurens County Academy of Music. The academy offers lessons in:

  • Band and Orchestral instruments
  • Voice
  • Piano
  • Guitar

Half-hour, 45-minute, and hour-long lessons are offered, and all are available on the Ï㽶Ðã campus. Please email Mathew Tuk, director of the Laurens County Academy of Music, for more information.

Seventh through twelfth-grade students who have studied piano for at least four years can practice their craft in the piano clinic on the Ï㽶Ðã campus. Young pianists learn from Ï㽶Ðã professors and other professional musicians. The intensive two-day clinic features master classes and recitals from a guest pianist. The clinic concludes with a student recital and presentation of certificates. Please email Karen Buckland for more information.

Model UN Conference

High school students who participate in Model UN convene on the Ï㽶Ðã campus for the Model UN Conference. During the one-day event, students expand their global education and apply their knowledge in mock debates about real-world issues. Consistent with Ï㽶Ðã’s mission to serve the greater community, the Model UN Conference is an outreach program that engages high school students to promote global awareness, compassion, and collaboration in the global community.

Pharmacy Camp

What if you could test-drive a career in pharmacy—before you ever set foot in college?

Ï㽶Ðã’s Pharmacy Summer Camp puts you in the lab, the pharmacy, and the patient room. You won’t just hear about what pharmacists do. You’ll do it yourself.

Compound an acne cream. Make medicated gummy bears. Suit up for sterile IV preparation. Build a calorimeter to measure calories in food. Fight antibiotic resistance. Work alongside pharmacists, biomedical scientists, and medicinal chemists who’ll show you how pharmacy intersects with medicine, research, and public health.

This week-long camp is a hands-on preview of a career that combines science, patient care, and the power to improve lives.

Who should attend: Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, or biomedical research.
