Ļć½¶Šć earns recognition for military student support

Ļć½¶Šć University was once again classified as a recommended school for military members and veterans.

The military advocacy organization Viqtory announced that Ļć½¶Šć is on its 2025-26 Military FriendlyĀ® School list. The list honors colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military members as students to ensure their success on campus.

ā€œBy earning this prestigious designation, you've demonstrated that your school is an ideal fit for military and veteran students,ā€ an email announcement from Viqtory to Ļć½¶Šć administrators stated.

Beth Adele, chair of Mass Communications at Ļć½¶Šć and administrator of the university’s application for the program, said the designation is evidence of the university’s goal of helping all students obtain a first-class education.

ā€œĻć½¶Šć is proud to provide educational support for our veterans and their dependents deserving of their sacrifices and careers,ā€ Adele said. ā€œThe Military Friendly designation helps us communicate our ongoing dedication to invest in the lives of our veterans as they journey from service to student.ā€

The Military FriendlyĀ® School designation provides service members, veterans and their families with transparent, data-driven ratings about post-military education and career opportunities.

Institutions earning the Military FriendlyĀ® School designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by each school. Student survey data was also taken into consideration for the designation.

More than 2,500 schools participated in the survey. The list will be published in an upcoming issue of GIJOBS magazine. It can also be found at .

Ļć½¶Šć, a Yellow Ribbon Program university, was lauded for its low student-to-faculty ratio, among other notable characteristics that assist military and veteran students. Viqtory says such personalized attention can help veterans ā€œtransition to college after time away from a full-time classroom experience.ā€

Ļć½¶Šć was also designated as a Military Spouse Friendly School this year.
