A three-day summer academy for high school students will combine fun activities with a preview of the college experience and careers in business.
Ļć½¶Šć Universityās Summer Business Academy for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors will be held July 22-24 in the Meinders School of Business on campus with field trips to sites around the city.
Each day will offer a unique experience. āLeadership & OKC Thunderā will give students a behind-the-scenes look at the Ļć½¶Šć Thunderās operations and a meeting with the teamās executive leadership team. āManagement & Venture Capital in Bricktownā will introduce the process of starting and managing successful businesses. āFinance & OKC Riversportā will show how Bloomberg Terminals work along with an adventurous trip to the Boathouse District to challenge its whitewater rafting course.
āThe Summer Business Academy is a fun, exciting and hands-on way to learn about the world of business,ā said Bob Greve, associate dean of the Meiners School of Business. āItās also an opportunity to gain leadership skills and give an early boost to your career resume.ā
Tuition is $195 and includes admission and transportation to each field trip, meals and snacks, and an academy T-shirt. More information and registration, due by July 12, is available online at .
